THE INAUGURAL FELLOWSHIP
The 2026 NXT Fellowship hosted 65 students and young leaders from 32 nations and 26 universities for a 10-day programme of deep-dive sessions, briefings with parliamentarians and policymakers, industrial tours and cultural evenings. At the end, Fellows published papers on an area of research that grew out of their experience and the briefings.
They met former Prime Ministers Fredrik Reinfeldt of Sweden, Scott Morrison of Australia and Baburam Bhattarai of Nepal, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, NASA astronaut Capt. Scott Kelly, India's Gaganauts, and Members of Parliament from across the world. In a 40-minute closed-door masterclass, Scott Morrison spoke with the Fellows on the Indo-Pacific and India's role in it.
Beyond the classroom, the Fellows toured Piccadilly Distilleries in Indri and the Videotex electronics plant in Greater Noida, spent an evening of folk performance and a morning of yoga at sunrise at Neemrana Fort Palace, and joined an Indian history session with author Hindol Sen Gupta.
