Year one · 2026
The inaugural Fellowship.
In 2026, the first NXT Fellowship brought 65 students and young leaders from 32 nations and 26 universities to India for a 10-day programme of deep-dive sessions, briefings with parliamentarians and policymakers, industrial tours and cultural evenings. Fellows then wrote papers on an area of research drawn from their own experience.
They met former Prime Ministers Fredrik Reinfeldt of Sweden, Scott Morrison of Australia and Baburam Bhattarai of Nepal, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, NASA astronaut Capt. Scott Kelly and India's Gaganauts, and Members of Parliament from across the world.
The 2026 Inaugural Edition
The 2027 programme
Ten days. Three phases and a surprise.
Phase 1
Study
Policy sessions on technology, the economy and governance, led by Indian and international experts.
Phase 2
Travel
A day trip to the Taj Mahal, a tour of Delhi and a chance to see India's wondrous places.
Phase 3
Meetings
One-to-one sessions with political, diplomatic and industry decision-makers, and time with business leaders.
Last day
Graduation
Fellows present to the cohort and key leaders, and the programme ends with a grand surprise.
Your research
You only need one topic.
Choose one area of India's rapid transformation that you want to research. Write an article on it, and present a five-minute talk. Selected work is published in the NXT annual magazine and other Indian publications.

NXT Internship · New for 2027
Be in the room.
College students from across India join us for the three days of NXT 2027. They attend the sessions, work alongside the NXT team and, for a select few, host our speakers as liaison officers.
Open to Indian college students.
